Taizhou rolls out diverse holiday experiences for spring break and May Day

Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province has introduced a wide range of cultural, tourism, and leisure activities for the combined spring break and May Day holiday, offering visitors varied experiences from cultural heritage to coastal recreation.
In Jiaojiang district, the fifth China Taizhou Premium Food Week will run from May 1 to 5, featuring food exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage displays, and technology-themed performances such as drone shows and robotics events.
In Huangyan district, a themed cultural event at Guanhe Water Street will combine historical storytelling with interactive experiences. Educational programs at local museums will offer interactive activities for students during the holiday period.
Luqiao district plans a mix of light shows, cultural markets, and outdoor activities, including lakeside camping and music events, while Linhai will focus on immersive historical tourism at the Ancient City of Taizhou Scenic Area, featuring reenactments, street performances, and night light displays inspired by Song Dynasty (960–1279) culture.
In Wenling, the Changyu Dongtian Scenic Area will host a Journey to the West-themed event with interactive performances. Yuhuan will organize flower parades and cultural fairs across multiple coastal sites, while Tiantai Mountain will offer free entry to major attractions for students during select dates.
Xianju and Sanmen counties will focus on nature tourism and coastal experiences, including flower festivals, fishing activities, and local food events. Taizhou Bay New Area will feature theme park festivals and wildlife experiences aimed at families.
