Taizhou robotics company debuts on Hong Kong Stock Exchange

Robotphoenix Intelligent Technology, a robotics company based in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, was officially listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on May 18, marking the first public listing of a robotics-focused enterprise from the city.

The company (stock code: 6871.HK) brings the total number of Taizhou's listed firms to 78, including six overseas companies, all of which are listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In its initial public offering, Robotphoenix issued 24.6 million shares at HK$30.50 ($3.89) per share, raising approximately HK$750 million in gross proceeds. The company plans to use the capital for robotics technology development, the expansion and optimization of production facilities from 2026 to 2030, overseas market development, and general working capital.

The offering drew exceptionally strong investor demand, recording an oversubscription of 14,855.40 times, setting a record for the Hong Kong main board as the first listing to exceed 10,000 times subscription.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Yuhuan, a county-level city in Taizhou, Robotphoenix specializes in robotics applications for light industrial environments. The company has developed an integrated technology system that spans robot hardware, control systems, machine vision, and manufacturing processes, supporting intelligent decision-making, environmental perception, precision control, and autonomous mobility.
