Artist Wang Zhengduo from Taizhou in East China's Zhejiang province has received the International Jury Cross-Media Creation Award for his Harmony series at Eastern Daybreak, a special invitation exhibition held from May 10 to 19 alongside the 61st Venice Biennale in Italy.

Wang's work combines photography, calligraphy, painting, digital imagery, and spatial presentation into a unified visual language inspired by the Chinese concept of harmony. The Eastern Daybreak International Jury Committee said that the series creates a dialogue between traditional culture and contemporary technology while expanding the possibilities of cross-media art.

The Harmony series uses flowers as its central visual motif to explore the philosophy of harmony through multiple artistic media. Wang describes his approach as "fusion art", emphasizing the integration of different art forms to create a unified creative expression rather than simply combining separate disciplines.

The award recognizes Wang's contribution to contemporary cross-media practice and the innovative interpretation of traditional Chinese culture in an international art context.
