S&N Phoenix Villa Taizhou in Jiaojiang district has become the city's first hotel to receive the five-leaf rating, the highest classification under China's national standards for cultural-themed hotels.

Located at the foot of Baiyun Mountain, the hotel covers 60,000 square meters and is over 70 percent forested. It offers 309 guest rooms, a dining capacity of more than 2,000 guests, and comprehensive facilities for conferences, vacations, and weddings.

The hotel is themed around "Phoenix Harmony, Dreaming in Jiangnan", integrating phoenix-inspired motifs with Taizhou's cultural heritage as the terminus of the "Tang Poetry Road" in eastern Zhejiang, a historic cultural route that inspired more than 1,500 poems by 451 Tang Dynasty (618–907) poets.

The property also offers wellness-focused experiences, including singing bowl sound therapy, tai chi sessions, Song Dynasty (960–1279)-style cultural activities, herbal tea, and sleep-enhancing amenities.

The award marks a milestone for Taizhou's hospitality industry and supports the city's efforts to diversify its cultural tourism offerings. Li Yeye, the hotel's general manager, said the hotel plans to further develop its cultural and wellness programs while continuing to contribute to the growth of the local tourism sector.
