Taizhou in Zhejiang province held a youth development conference on Aug 4, outlining measures to create a more supportive environment for young people.

In recent years, Taizhou has advanced youth-oriented city development. The city has launched 66 urban renewal projects focusing on youth development, built 1,987 "15-minute quality cultural living circles," and established six future industry fund clusters with a combined value of 120 billion yuan ($17.78 billion).

The city has also established youth innovation hubs, specialized incubators, and other platforms to encourage entrepreneurship, drawing 90,000 college students into summer social practice programs.

At the conference, local officials called for stronger support for employment, housing, and career development, urging local departments to improve policies and services so young people can settle, live, and start businesses in Taizhou.

This year, Taizhou continues its "Young Talent Gathering in Taizhou" program and will launch over 200 targeted recruitment events outside the city. It plans to offer more than 100,000 quality job opportunities, introduce 10 career exploration routes covering sectors such as aerospace, new energy vehicles, and green medicine, and organize more than 1,000 youth activities, including forums, entrepreneurship competitions, and skills training sessions.

Through urban renewal, industrial upgrading, and improved youth services, Taizhou aims to build a more attractive environment for young people and encourage them to pursue opportunities alongside the city's development.
