Yiwu's trademark registrations exceed 200,000

Yiwu, the world's small commodities hub, has set a new benchmark with over 200,000 effective trademark registrations, leading Zhejiang province. This achievement underscores Yiwu's commitment to intellectual property rights and innovation.

The Yiwu market supervision administration has been instrumental in this success, offering 34 specialized services. These services cater to the intellectual property needs of businesses and foster an environment where intellectual property serves as a catalyst for technological advancement.

Currently, Yiwu boasts 34,578 effective patents, with 3,691 being invention patents, while the city's effective trademark registrations stand at an impressive 200,714.

In 2023, Yiwu's vigorous efforts in intellectual property protection led to the resolution of over 730 cases, involving sums exceeding 9 million yuan ($1.24 million) and fines surpassing 15 million yuan.
