Quzhou airport

Quzhou Airport was firstly established in 1933. With the approval of the State Council and Central Military Commission, it is a military and civil airport and has been completed in accordance with 4C standards.

The airport can house large and medium-sized planes such as Boeing 737 and the Airbus 320. Its terminal building is 3,440 square meters, which can handle 200 passengers per hour during preak hours.

With three gate positions, it is 3.7 kilometers away from downtown Quzhou. On Oct 28, 2018, the airport can operate flights from Quzhou to Beijing, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Kunming, Jinan, Haikou and Chongqing.

In 2017, it handled 1,638 fights with the annual passenger throughput of 202,620 people, occupancy rate of 78.2 percent and cargo throughput of 601.8 tons.

Kaihua, a county in Quzhou, is building general aviation airport, which will be open to the public and also allow flying by private individuals.

The first-stage project will establish a 800-meter runway, a comprehensive business building, stands for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, a gas station and other supporting facilities.

In addition, helicopter pads are expected to be built in local important scenic spots and some local villages and towns, including Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park, Gutian Mountain, and Nanhua Mountain.
