Recommended by provincial- and municipal-level authorities since August, a group of 263 nominated cities (districts) including Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, have qualificied to participate in the 6th National Civilized City selection process.

To demonstrate the fruitful achievements of building a civilized city and promote the deepening and expansion of the work of building a civilized city, according to the work arrangement of the Central Civilization Office, the selection work was launched in August.

According to the selection method and procedure, a list of the 263 participating cities (districts) was released recently. The publicity period will be from Sept 14 to 18. This year, there are 13 places in Zhejiang province on the list.
