As the world's largest shopping festival, Double-11 is of great significance to suppliers and retailers around the world.

According to Alibaba, the total gross merchandise volume (GMV) of the 11-day campaign exceeded 372.3 billion yuan ($56.3 billion) by 12:30 am on Nov 11. Major brands from all over the world had prepared enough goods for this online shopping bonanza.

The Double 11 festival was the first such e-commerce event since the Four Provinces Marginal Live-streaming Industry Chuangye Street launched by Kecheng district in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, opened Sept 30.

In addition to keeping a good record of the daily operations of enterprises, Kecheng also set up special channels for livestreaming product promotions.

"There are 13 enterprises and more than 600 products in the livestreaming rooms,” said Liao Xiaoyi, a village livestreamer. “We connected with the official activities for agricultural products, explained the resources on e-commerce platforms and promoted Kecheng’s agricultural products."

During the Double 11 festival, the trading volume of the Four Provinces Marginal Live-streaming Industry Chuangye Street reached nearly 50 million yuan on Nov 11, and the online trading volume of the maker incubator park reached 230 million yuan.
