Quzhou medical volunteers head off to assist Shaoxing city

East China's Zhejiang province reported 57 new COVID-19 cases on Dec 15, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 293.

The prefecture-level city of Shaoxing confirmed 209 cases the same day. It had most of Zhejiang's 57 new cases – some 41 – with one asymptomatic case among them.

Since Dec 10, Quzhou city has sent out five groups – totaling 55 professional volunteers – to support Shaoxing's fight against COVID-19.

On Dec 10-12, the Quzhou Disease Control and Prevention Center and the Municipal Health Commission, respectively, received a request to set up an assistance team and a nucleic acid detection mobile team to give Shaoxing a hand. 

On the evening of Dec 14, the Municipal Health Commission set up a COVID-19 transfer support team from Quzhou and sent another two ambulances, four drivers and two doctors to Shaoxing.
