Quzhou Sports Center Stadium wins national award

The Quzhou Sports Center Stadium was recently named one of the winners of the sports category of the 2023 ArchDaily Global Architecture Awards.

This year marked the 14th year of the ArchDaily Global Architecture Awards.

This year's ArchDaily Architecture Awards received more than 4,500 entries from around the world, and 15 projects won awards, including three projects from China.

The ArchDaily Global Architecture Awards are the world's largest peer-reviewed awards.

This year's awards are divided into 15 different categories, including sports buildings, commercial buildings, cultural buildings, catering and hotel buildings and medical buildings.

The Quzhou Sports Center Stadium is the only sports building project to win an award. It has a total construction area of about 90,000 square meters and houses 30,000 seats.

The Quzhou Sports Center Stadium completed construction and received approval on Sept 27, 2021. On Oct 22, 2021, it was unveiled to the world as the main venue for the opening ceremony of the fourth Zhejiang Provincial Sports Games. On March 18 to 19, Xue Zhiqian's concert became the first personal concert to be held at the Quzhou Sports Center Stadium.
