The Memorial Hall to the Doolittle Raid in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, which opened to the public in 2018, serves as a powerful reminder of the spontaneous rescue of American pilots by Chinese people 81 years ago.

The memorial hall now houses a remarkable collection of over 200 historical photographs, along with models of the Hornet aircraft carrier and B-25 bombers that were involved in the combat, witnessing the profound friendship between the people of China and the United States.

Zheng Weiyong, a historical researcher, emphasized the significance of the Chinese people's rescue of the Doolittle Raid team during World War II, which forged a strong bond between the two nations.

Zheng added that this historical episode is exceptionally precious and rare, deserving preservation.

Tong Lijuan, director of the Quzhou Museum, highlighted the pivotal role of this memorial hall in commemorating this illustrious history and fostering cultural and educational exchanges between China and the United States.

Tong further emphasized plans for the renovation and enhancement of the memorial hall, comprehensive research on relevant historical materials, and the activation and utilization of related historical sites to create high-quality study tour routes.
