Quzhou to launch 2025 Southern Confucianism Cultural Tourism Season
The Quzhou municipal government held a news conference on Sept 1 to announce that Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province will launch the 2025 Southern Confucianism Cultural Tourism Season on Sept 5.
The event offers locals and visitors the opportunity to dive into the rich culture of Southern Confucianism in Quzhou, which is known as the "Home of Southern Confucianism".
The event features 28 activities, including the opening ceremony, the 2025 International Forum of Confucianism in Quzhou, the 2025 China International Confucius Cultural Festival combined with the ceremony commemorating the 2,576th birthday of Confucius, and various cultural exchange and tourism activities.

The activities this year will be more diverse, aiming to broaden the festival's reach and impact. In addition to key events like the China International Confucius Cultural Festival, the "Nishan Cup" Analects of Confucius Competition, a themed photography festival, and other activities will invite more people to participate.
Collaboration will be more open, and there will be joint events with Shandong province, such as a cultural exchange exhibition in Jining, Shandong. International collaborations will invite global participants to explore traditional Chinese culture.
There will be a stronger integration of culture and tourism, with Quzhou enhancing its offerings through various themed travel routes and immersive tourism.
Community engagement will be more impactful, with cultural services, exhibitions, lectures, and performances offered to ensure residents and visitors experience the richness of Southern Confucianism.
