As China's traditional Mid-Autumn Festival draws ever near, a dessert shop in Quzhou, Zhejiang province has introduced a very special mooncake gift set inspired by the city's historical landmarks, winning favor with both locals and tourists.

The mooncakes feature designs of iconic sites, including Shuiting Gate, Tianwang Tower, and the Family Temple of Confucius in Quzhou.

Jiang Yirong, owner of the dessert shop, came up with the idea, sparked by her deep appreciation of Quzhou's cultural heritage and its tourist appeal. The goal was to introduce the local landmarks to visitors through her creative mooncakes.

These delightful morsels feature a crispy crust with a low-sugar nut filling, in line with modern health-conscious preferences.

Since their launch in early September, they've become a real hit with customers who value their novelty and local character. To date, 300-400 boxes have been pre-ordered, reflecting the healthy market interest.
