During the May Day holiday, the picturesque landscape and lively events of Changshan county in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, attracted many visitors, with the third Changshan Baijuhua Peak Trail Race, held on May 2 in Meishudi village, emerging as one of the most popular events.

This year's race saw a record-breaking 964 participants from around the globe. The race featured three categories: the 33km group, the 22km group, and the 11km group.

Starting and finishing at Meishudi village's Gongfu Square, the route connected key attractions including Meishudi scenic area, Taohuayuan scenic area, Baijuhua Peak, and Qicai Feilongjian Valley, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Changshan Global Geopark.

Baijuhua Peak, at 1,395 meters above sea level, is Changshan's highest point, offering a sea of blooming rhododendron flowers in May and a dramatic karst landscape. The nearby Meishudi scenic area, a national 4A-level site, boasts over 95 percent forest coverage and high negative ion concentration.

The blend of geological wonders and stunning landscapes offered an unparalleled racing environment.

UK participant Anthony Erwin praised the event and Changshan's scenery in fluent Chinese, highlighting the event's appeal.

With enhanced professional planning and services, the event featured multiple supply stations, bilingual signage, and comprehensive safety measures. Participants also received local specialties, such as Changshan Huyou juice.
