Students from the United States attending a youth camp of the Chinese Bridge visit the Memorial Hall to the Doolittle Raid in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, on June 15. The hall, established in 2018, commemorates Chinese citizens who aided and rescued US airmen after the Doolittle Raid. The 1942 bombing raid on Japanese cities, led by Lieutenant Colonel James Doolittle, was conducted to avenge Japan's surprise aerial attack on the US naval base at Pearl Harbor during World War II. The hall is a witness to the friendship between the Chinese and American peoples.
