Longyou county in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Westlake Robotics Technology (Hangzhou) Co to build a real-world training facility for embodied AI, marking a new step in the county's development of the humanoid robot industry.

The project will combine Longyou's humanoid robot industry chain, innovation platforms, and policy support with Westlake Robotics' embodied large model, general-purpose motion model GAE, and independently developed core technologies.

It will establish real-world application scenarios covering industrial manufacturing, public services, and specialized operations, while creating a system for collecting high-quality whole-body robot data.

Longyou has developed a supporting ecosystem for humanoid robots, with local suppliers meeting 95 percent of demand for core components. This cooperation with Westlake Robotics aims to build the "Longyou Embodied GPT" industrial brand and provide data support for robot model development and application.

Wang Donglin, founder of Westlake Robotics, said the project will help connect the full process from robot data collection and model iteration to application testing. Initial applications are expected in scenarios including shopping malls, supermarkets, and hotels, before wider deployment.

As embodied AI advances toward commercial applications, Longyou's real-world training facility seeks to link physical environments, robot operations, data collection, and model improvement.
