Qujiang district in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, evacuated residents from high-risk areas to emergency shelters before Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in Zhejiang on the evening of Aug 9, providing accommodation, medical services, and daily necessities.

At shelters including those based at Nianli Junior High School and Qujiang Experimental Middle School, evacuated residents received meals, emergency supplies, and health checks. Medical workers stayed on site to monitor residents' conditions, especially those of elderly people.

Other shelters in the district also provided support for residents transferred from geological hazard zones, flood-prone areas, and other high-risk locations. Local officials and village workers stayed at the shelters to assist with their daily needs, respond to requests, and provide reassurance during the evacuation period.

The district has continued to strengthen its typhoon response measures, including risk checks and emergency support, to ensure residents' safety and maintain essential services during the storm.
