Jiaxing University Nanhu College has independent legal status, approved by the Ministry of Education in 2003. Covering more than 39 hectares, the college is adjacent to Jiaxing University and has a beautiful environment.

The value of the teaching equipment and facilities is about 60 million yuan ($8.56 million). The library has a collection of over 580,000 paper books and more than 520,000 e-books. A laboratory system has been established with eight experiment centers, including centers of economic management, mechanical and electrical engineering, medical research and biochemical testing.

The college has 35 majors, covering seven disciplines – economics, management, engineering, science, arts, medicine and law. It has about 8,000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 400 full-time teachers, over 180 of whom have associate senior titles or above.
