A group of international students from 23 countries — including France, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan — embarked on a cultural field trip on March 31 to Jiaxing.

In the historic town of Xitang, students experienced an immersive performance of Yueju Opera. Though many could not fully understand the lyrics, they were attracted by the elegance and beauty of the traditional art form.

A faculty member noted that the students came to China with curiosity and, through hands-on experiences like this, are gaining a fuller, more nuanced understanding of the country and its culture.
