During the one-day "Jiaxing Day" program, the group experienced local traditions and strengthened cross-cultural bonds.
Their journey began in Yanguan ancient town, where a cascading musical waterfall drew excited reactions. Campers explored the town's historic charm, learning about the Qiantang River tide and touring local specialty shops. Traditional snacks and regional crafts gave them a taste of the area's distinctive heritage.
At the Liankai Hall, students were fascinated by displays of Chinese armor replicas. They also visited an exhibition on lead-type printing and creative cultural products, where 3D-printed dragon toys became popular souvenirs.
In another highlight, participants donned traditional mamianqun, or horse-face skirts, while learning about the garment's history and craftsmanship.
