Construction crews at the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, were busy transporting materials, pouring concrete, and building piers to ensure steady progress on July 25.
The bridge spans 29.2 kilometers and connects Haiyan in Jiaxing to Cixi in Ningbo. Designed for a maximum speed of 350 km per hour, it is currently the world's longest and highest-standard high-speed railway cross-sea bridge under construction.
With half of the schedule and workload completed, the bridge is expected to open by late 2027.
