A China Eastern Airlines A321 aircraft landed at Jiaxing Nanhu Airport in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Aug 26, marking the completion of the airport's verification flight and signaling its transition from construction to operation.

The aircraft departed from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and conducted a 90-minute test flight, covering procedures such as flight operations, communication, navigation, lighting, runway markings, and airspace clearance.

To ensure safe execution, China Eastern Airlines deployed four experienced flight instructors from its Zhejiang branch. The crew carried out detailed pre-flight checks and strictly followed standard manual procedures throughout the test. Results showed the airport met all industry standards in flight procedures and operations.

Just 10 kilometers from Jiaxing's downtown, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport is a comprehensive facility within the Yangtze River Delta region's core area. Unlike neighboring airports with similar passenger services, the airport plans to focus on both passenger and cargo flights, with an emphasis on freight. This positioning is designed to strengthen regional aviation logistics and provide complementary functions to the broader airport cluster in the region.
