Danfoss opened its second production base in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Sept 2, making it the Danish company's largest production base in China.

Founded in Nordborg, Denmark, in 1933, Danfoss is a leading global company in electrification, digitalization, and intelligent manufacturing.

The phase one project covers 14.4 hectares with a total floor area of 270,000 square meters and involved an investment of 2.7 billion yuan ($378 million). Construction started in April last year and was completed within one year, highlighting the rapid pace of project delivery in Jiaxing.

The new site combines advanced technologies with smart operations, introducing energy-saving solutions across research, testing, manufacturing, and display functions. Designed as a zero-carbon industrial park, it aims to become a model for high-end foreign investment in the region.

Danfoss also runs two application development centers in Jiaxing, focusing on products like hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and heat exchangers. These products enhance energy efficiency in buildings, transportation, and the energy sectors in China.

Over the past two decades, Danfoss has expanded its presence in the city with 10 investment projects, establishing Jiaxing as one of its largest global manufacturing hubs.
