As the fall semester begins in September, demand for stationery has risen worldwide. Products made in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, including notebooks, pencil cases, and sticky notes, are popular overseas for their design, variety, and quality.

At the Jiaxing hub of In2log Limited, shelves are filled with brightly colored notebooks, pencils, and novelty pencil cases awaiting packing before shipping to more than 60 countries and regions.

Company staff said that even small items contain advanced technology, such as utility knives with alloy steel blades for strength and corrosion resistance, slip-resistant handles, and safety lock mechanisms. From January to July, stationery exports from the Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone reached 15 million yuan ($2.1 million).

In the Yangtze River Delta integration demonstration zone, Zhejiang Guangda Heyi New Material Co Ltd operates a full production line for paper-based stationery. Workers oversee printing, folding, and binding, with finished notebooks shipped mainly to Europe and the Americas. The firm exported paper stationery worth $2.61 million in the first seven months, with steady growth.

Jiaxing Customs has supported local firms by offering faster clearance, bonded storage and certification services. Measures such as advance declarations and digital quarantine certificates have reduced costs and delivery times.

From January to July, Jiaxing exported notebooks, sticky notes, pencil cases, and other stationery worth 130 million yuan, up 0.8 percent year-on-year.

With expanding global demand, Jiaxing's stationery makers are leveraging innovation and supportive policies to strengthen their presence in international markets.
