A youth friendship delegation from Shizuoka prefecture, Japan, visited Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province from Sept 10 to 11.

The 31-member group aimed to strengthen understanding and friendships between young people from both sides.

The delegation visited Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic Institute on the morning of Sept 11. The nursing and e-commerce livestreaming programs impressed them with modern facilities and teaching concepts. A cultural exchange followed, where local students performed traditional Chinese and street dances, while the Japanese group presented modern dances, ink paintings, a tea ceremony, and rhythmic gymnastics.

In the afternoon, the delegation traveled to Xujiadai village in Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, where they experienced indoor baseball. The visit gained special meaning when they learned that the 2025 Zhejiang China-Japan Youth Baseball Friendship Game had recently taken place there, with participation from a team from Fuji, Shizuoka. 

The two-day visit combined cultural experiences and sports activities, creating stronger bonds and mutual trust between young people in Jiaxing and Shizuoka.
