The International Observation on Business Environment was held in Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, from Oct 23 to 24. It brought together nearly 30 observers and influential expatriates living in the region.

The two-day event featured company visits, policy briefings, and cultural experiences aimed at enhancing international cooperation and supporting the city's efforts to upgrade its business environment.

Participants visited leading manufacturers such as Meida and Zhejiang Xuebao Fashion to learn about Jiaxing's innovation-driven industrial strengths. At Meida, they toured automated stamping, laser cutting, and robotic welding lines, praising the company's advancements in smart manufacturing and energy efficiency. At Xuebao Fashion's 2,500-square-meter exhibition hall, they viewed products including eco-friendly faux furs and motor jackets featured at Paris Fashion Week. Many expressed interest in further cooperating with local enterprises after witnessing the innovations in Jiaxing's traditional industries.

During a policy briefing, representatives from local departments introduced initiatives covering international legal services, social security for foreign employees, and medical support. These efforts provided comprehensive guidance for expatriates working and investing in Jiaxing. Observers also noted the city's open and efficient business climate, sharing positive impressions.

The program also included cultural visits to Haining's Nangguanxiang Street and Yanguan Ancient Town, where participants experienced local heritage such as Haining lantern art and sericulture, and witnessed the Qiantang River tidal bore.
