Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province hosted over 650 events and saw 6.67 million tourist visits during the Spring Festival holiday, up 20.4 percent year-over-year, generating revenue of 9.14 billion yuan ($1.33 billion), up 24.97 percent.

Jiaxing's core areas, including its urban center, ancient towns such as Wuzhen and Xitang, and rural villages, were bustling with visitors, with the city center receiving over 2.06 million visits, and popular spots like Nanhu Lake Park attracting more than 580,000.

The city also fostered economic growth through a combination of commercial and tourism initiatives, with sales from the Haining Leather City and Puyuan Woolen Sweater Market reaching about 27.93 million yuan and 7.29 million yuan, respectively.

The city also provided authentic Chinese New Year experiences for 10,900 international visitors during the holiday.
