Zhejiang Boya Precision Machinery, based in Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, is ramping up production to fulfill an urgent order from Turkiye by the end of February.

The company, which specializes in high-performance dry vacuum pumps, holds 54 patents and has played a key role in developing national industry standards. Boya's dry vacuum pump plays a vital role in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, offering a domestic alternative to crucial vacuum equipment.

The company has already made strides in international markets, establishing a sales and service branch in Vietnam last year and planning expansion into Turkiye and Russia.

In 2025, the company began investing 50 percent of its revenue in research and development. This long-term investment helps the company build a solid technological foundation for future growth.

Over 300 industrial enterprises in Pinghu, each with an annual revenue of at least 20 million yuan (about $3 million), have resumed operations following the Spring Festival holiday. The total output value of Pinghu's industrial enterprises in 2025, excluding the Jiaxing port area, reached 192.33 billion yuan, with a 7.2 percent year-on-year growth — the highest in Jiaxing.
