Nbos Qin, the first container vessel on the Jiaxing-Ho Chi Minh route, docked at Jiaxing Port in East China's Zhejiang province on March 4, marking the port's inclusion in the national "Container Shipping On-time Cost Reduction" program and making it a maritime hub for China-ASEAN trade.

The program aims to optimize container shipping efficiency, make precise arrival forecasts, and ensure on-time ship docking. By shifting from a "first-come, first-served" model to a more punctual and scheduled system, the program reduces logistics costs, improves operational efficiency, and attracts shipping resources and foreign trade enterprises, contributing to local industrial upgrades and investment attraction.

The Jiaxing-Ho Chi Minh route, a key maritime corridor for Jiaxing's trade with ASEAN, primarily exports local products such as furniture, synthetic rubber, and small household appliances, while importing agricultural products and raw materials from Southeast Asia.

The program is also expected to improve the route's efficiency, reduce fuel consumption by 56.4 metric tons per voyage, cut carbon emissions by 175 tons, save approximately 250,000 yuan ($36,133) in fuel costs, and decrease port waiting times by 11.5 hours.

This program will significantly enhance docking accuracy, reduce cargo turnover times, and help Jiaxing establish itself as a new center for foreign trade logistics in northern Zhejiang.
