The Ferrero Tennis Academy, based in Spain, signed an agreement on April 19 to establish its Yangtze River Delta Center in Nanhu district, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, introducing an international training system for youth development.

The project is bringing the academy's full training framework and resources from its Spanish headquarters to China to support high-level youth tennis training and overseas education pathways. Founded by Juan Carlos Ferrero, the academy is known for producing top-ranked players and is regarded as one of Europe's leading tennis training institutions.

Nanhu district has developed a solid foundation for tennis, with more than 30 indoor and outdoor courts and two standard tennis centers. Jiaxing International Tennis Center has hosted major events, including ITF tournaments and national youth ranking competitions, contributing to a growing sports culture.

The new center is positioned as a key part of the academy's China strategy, with plans to replicate its full training system and operational standards, creating a scalable model for youth tennis development in the region.

During the visit, Ferrero also conducted on-site coaching sessions, observed local training programs, and provided technical guidance to young players.
