A wooden coffee bar shaped like a pirate ship on Dongsha Beach at Jiulong Mountain in Pinghu, a county-level city in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, is hosting outdoor livehouse performances on weekend evenings, drawing visitors from Pinghu and Shanghai for leisure activities. Since opening in July, the bar has generated more than 60 percent of its daily revenue during nighttime hours.

The former tent leisure area has been upgraded into the "Haifengji" seaside barbecue camp, where seafood barbecue and evening gatherings continue until 9 pm. Nighttime sales account for more than 70 percent of the camp's daily revenue.

This summer, the Dongsha Beach entertainment camp has generated 1.25 million yuan (about $185,927) in revenue and received more than 80,000 visits. With diverse offerings including music, coffee, and seaside dining, the area has built a consumption chain stretching from sunset into the night, making the night economy a new driver of summer consumption in Pinghu.
