Eight planes manufactured by Shaoxing-based Wanfeng Aviation were delivered to the Civil Aviation University of China on Nov 18.

"The delivery opened a new chapter in the cooperation between Wanfeng Aviation and the Civil Aviation University of China. We will eye more projects in manufacturing, education, and research," said Lyu Yuan, general manager of Wanfeng Aviation.

In September, the Civil Aviation University ordered 24 DA40 NG from Wanfeng Auto. DA40 NG is a single engine light aircraft, equipped with an AE 300 engine. The comfortable and uncomplicated aircraft is designed especially for aviation beginners and flight schools.

Wanfeng Aviation boasts five manufacturing and R&D bases in Canada, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Its parent group Wanfeng Auto Holding ranks among the top 500 private enterprises in China, the top 20 in China's auto industry, and the top 50 in China's A-share market.
