Shaoxing Messer, a company fully-invested in by German gas provider Messer Group GmbH, is making itself a good example in Shaoxing's digital reform efforts, local media reported on Aug 19.

Located in Doumen subdistrict, Yuecheng district, Shaoxing Messer has been producing oxygen and nitrogen for the integrated circuits, electronics, chemical, and medicine industries since 2018.

In recent years, the company has been developing automated production and focusing on becoming a remote control center for other Messer factories in Zhejiang.

"Our remote control system allows us to monitor conditions of each factory and make real-time adjustments," said Wang Yan, manager of the production department of Shaoxing Messer.

"Automation and digitalization enable us to run a 2.53-hectare-factory with only two staff members," said Wang Keye, deputy manager of Shaoxing Messer.
