China's national swimming team is currently training in Shangyu district, Shaoxing, for the upcoming Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, local media reported on Jan 27.

The team is undergoing recovery training after competing at the 15th FINA World Swimming Championships in Abu Dhabi in December 2021, said coach Zhu Zhigen.

The team will take a short break from Jan 31 to Feb 3.

"This training is key to our recovery but I am still looking forward to reuniting with my family," said Wang Shun, who won a gold medal at men's 200m individual medley at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
