Keqiao district in Shaoxing recently pioneered the innovative Investment Project Approval Intermediary Assessment Unified Service System, local media reported on Sept 7.

In recent years, as entry requirements have relaxed, the intermediary market has expanded at a remarkable pace in Shaoxing. The growth inadvertently led to certain intermediary organizations monopolizing the market, resulting in issues such as exorbitant fees, sluggish processes, and subpar service quality.

These persistent challenges have significantly hampered the efficiency of investment project approvals.

To drive standardized and efficient intermediary services while lightening the burden on businesses, the administrative approval bureau of Keqiao has introduced a groundbreaking concept: the nation's first "Agency Supermarket."

Project owners can now post information and notices tailored to their approval requirements, while intermediary organizations autonomously apply and submit project timelines and pricing. Operating on the principle of optimal cost-effectiveness, project owners can independently select intermediary organizations from the recommended list within the system.

Local authorities emphasized that in recent years, the district has harnessed the power of data sharing, process refinement, and seamless collaboration to turbocharge investment approval efficiency, continually fine-tuning the business environment.

In 2022 alone, the supermarket processed over 8,000 cases, boasting a 100 percent on-time completion rate.
