The 2023 China Softball League's first phase of matches reached its conclusion at the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports and Culture Center on Oct 23.

With the theme "History and Glory," this year's league featured eight teams, with the first phase concluding after a thrilling 14 rounds of play, positioning the Liaoning Blue Sharks at the top with 11 victories and 3 losses.

Following the successful debut of the China Softball League in 2022, the league has now entered its second season.

This particular phase of the league holds historical significance as it marks the first nationwide sporting event held at the Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports and Culture Center since the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The momentum generated by the Hangzhou Asian Games' softball event has continued to gain prominence in Shaoxing.

The 2023 China Softball League's organizing committee has drawn inspiration from the Asian Games, improving the event's execution, optimizing the competition's details, and facilitating the integration of softball into Shaoxing's ancient city.

In the forthcoming phase of the 2023 China Softball League, scheduled for Nov 20, matches will be held at the Nanjing University of Technology in Jiangsu.
