This Spring Festival, Shaoxing in Zhejiang province saw a significant jump in tourists.

The city welcomed about 3.13 million visitors, up by 33.42 percent from last year. This year-on-year growth rate is the second highest in the province.

Overnight stays also surged by 28.85 percent, setting new records.

Shaoxing's 21 scenic spots, managed by the Shaoxing Tourism Group, saw a huge 139.48 percent increase in visitors, with each spot breaking attendance records.

The Former Residence of Lu Xun drew 750,000 visitors, with 278,100 staying overnight. Donghu Lake and Orchid Pavilion had visitor jumps of 170.6 percent and 139.3 percent, respectively.

Shaoxing's festive atmosphere and rich culture, highlighted by "Blessings: Celebrating Chinese New Year in Shaoxing Ancient City," received high praise.

Places like Yellow Rice Wine Town in Yuecheng district, with its water weddings, Anchang Ancient Town in Keqiao district with its "12th Lunar Month Festivities," and the Former Residence of Xi Shi with its "God of Wealth Market," drew considerable crowds.
