Shaoxing has launched its 2025 Cross-Border E-Commerce Service Season, rolling out a series of targeted initiatives to support high-quality development in digital trade.
At the opening event, the city unveiled a three-tier system centered on risk control, service integration, and credit reliability. New customs AEO certifications and financial product rollouts by local banks aim to streamline logistics and ease financing.
Strategic agreements were also signed to boost overseas warehousing and risk coverage, while two new alliances — one for platform services, the other for finance — were formally established.
According to the municipal commerce bureau, themed monthly activities will anchor the service season, designed to link data with industry and position Shaoxing as a hub for smart cross-border trade.
The push comes as the city deepens its role in China's national pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce. In 2024, Shaoxing's cross-border exports hit 13.33 billion yuan ($1.84 billion) — up nearly 58 percent year-on-year.
The city added 376 new e-commerce entities, and more than 20 sellers surpassed 100 million yuan in annual transactions. Altogether, over 6,000 companies in the city are now active in cross-border trade.
