Cultural park themed Lu You opens in Shaoxing

Shaoxing in East China's Zhejiang opens on Nov 13 a cultural park commemorating the legacy of Southern Song (1127–1279) poet Lu You, recreates the poet's later-life residence, Sanshan Villa, along with immersive scenes of daily life in the Song Dynasty.
Lu, one of China's most prolific poets, left more than 9,000 poems, many reflecting his love for his country and daily life. His hometown, now transformed into a scenic cultural site, brings his literary world to life through immersive experiences.

The scenic area faithfully reconstructs Lu's later-life residence and its surroundings, offering visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of this renowned Song Dynasty poet. Costumed performers interact with visitors through traditional activities such as tea preparation and painting, allowing guests to experience the unique charm of Song Dynasty culture.

At night, the large-scale immersive water show Tracing Lu You presents key moments from the poet's life and work. The show transforms Lu's story and poetry into a vivid audiovisual journey that can be enjoyed from multiple spots across the scenic area.
From Nov 14 onward, visitors can explore the newly opened Lu's Hometown scenic area and experience the poetic spirit of Shaoxing in full bloom.
