International students from Shaoxing University learned about Shaoxing culture at the Shaoxing Museum during an event jointly organized by the university's International Education College and the museum.

Held at the museum instead of in a classroom, the event allowed international students to experience Shaoxing's intangible cultural heritage firsthand.

Experts were invited to share insights on intangible cultural heritage protection and how young people can help introduce traditional culture to international audiences.

During the event, international students joined discussions on Shaoxing culture and gained a deeper understanding of the value and preservation of intangible cultural heritage.

They also shared their own views on cultural elements such as Shaoxing rice wine and said they hope to promote Shaoxing's intangible cultural heritage overseas through social media.

According to the college, the collaboration with the museum offered an innovative form of experiential learning for international students.

The university said it will continue organizing similar activities to help international students move from cultural observers to active promoters, while improving their cross-cultural communication skills and supporting the global outreach of Shaoxing's intangible cultural heritage.
