The eighth Shaoxing Fusheng Matcha Green Run kicked off on April 19 in Fusheng town, Yuecheng district, Shaoxing, attracting nearly 3,000 runners from both China and abroad.

Fusheng, known as the royal tea production site during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), and home to the Song Dynasty Six Mausoleums, is also the largest matcha-producing area in China, boasting over 6,700 hectares of tea plantations.

This year's event combined Song Dynasty culture with the unique appeal of matcha. The racecourse connected cultural landmarks such as the Song Dynasty Six Mausoleums and Royal Tea village, featuring Song Dynasty-themed checkpoints and cheerleading stations. The opening ceremony included dance performances introducing tea culture.

An upgraded 2026 Fusheng Tour Passport was also launched, partnering with over 30 businesses to provide discounts. These efforts aim to utilize the event to promote rural spending, contributing to rural vitalization.
