Shaoxing launches direct Dubai air cargo route

A new direct air cargo route linking Hangzhou and Dubai is helping textile and home-furnishing businesses in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, ship goods to the Middle East more efficiently and at lower cost.

Launched by Shaoxing Post in August, the Dubai international freight service provides an integrated logistics channel covering domestic collection, export customs clearance, international transportation, overseas customs clearance, and final delivery.

Shaoxing is a major global hub for textiles and apparel. As competition in European and American markets intensifies, more local businesses are exploring emerging markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Russia. Previously, many shipments had to transfer through airports in other cities, resulting in longer, less predictable delivery times.

The new route addresses these challenges by offering direct transportation and more reliable logistics services. A dedicated service team provides customized solutions, including door-to-door pickup, tailored packaging, expedited customs clearance, and shipment tracking, helping businesses better manage delivery schedules and reduce logistics costs.

Since beginning operations in August, the route has handled four outbound cargo flights, transporting a total of 3.1 metric tons of goods.

Shaoxing Post plans to increase flight frequency, expand the route's coverage, and improve its overseas service network, further connecting Shaoxing's textile industry with markets across the Middle East and beyond.
