​Xu Zhimo

1470722829438055966.jpgXu Zhimo (1896-1931), a native of Haining, Zhejiang, he was a famous modern poet of the Crescent Moon School, prose writer, and the elder cousin of Jin Yong, the famous “Wuxia” ("Martial Arts and chivalry") novelist. He was born in a rich family and once studied in England. In his lifetime, he kept on pursuing “love”, “freedom” and “beauty” (quotes from Hushi). This brought him much inspiration in his works while ruined his entire life at the same time. Xu Zhimo advocated metrical verses and contributed a lot to the development of New Poems in China.
