Characters from JRR Tolkien's magical world of Middle Earth, courtesy of New Zealand visual effects masters Weta Workshop, were unveiled in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province on Dec 13.

The exhibition also featured other works from Weta Workshop and Weta Digital, from films such as "King Kong", "Avatar", "Lord of the Rings", "The Hobbit", and "Dr. Grordbort's Infallible Aether Oscillators".

Weta is a world-leading visual effects workshop which has won five Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects for films such as "Lord of the Rings", "Avatar", and "King Kong".

The five-month exhibition features a variety of design manuscripts, original models of movie characters and scene recreations, which will be displayed in the ancient water town, allowing visitors to see how models for movies are made.

"Lord of the Rings" fans are in for a treat and are able to have their picture taken next to lovable and loath-able characters such as Gandalf and Gollum.
