A journalist from Phoenix Satellite Television asked about Zhejiang's further steps to promote innovative development. Yuan Jiajun, governor of the province answered.

Yuan mentioned the Zhejiang Lab, a research institute focusing on emerging fields like artificial intelligence, and introduced the talent recruitment and entrepreneurship in the province. He said that Zhejiang will stick firmly to future-oriented reform and development and build an interconnected system for innovation and start-ups.

Ge Huijun, director of the province's publicity department, spoke of the plan to build a highland for culture industry and improve cultural strength in accordance with the congress report when answering a media question.

The last question, raised by a journalist from Dubai, was about Ningbo's plan to develop the Belt and Road Initiative. Ningbo was chosen to become Zhejiang's first pilot zone for projects connected to the initiative in September. Tang Yijun, Party secretary of the city, said the setup of the zone is right for the times. "Ningbo enjoys advantages in geographic position, port resources, opening-up and manufacturing," Tang said.

He said Ningbo will strive to become a pivot city for the Belt and Road Initiative as well as a large platform for industrial clusters to serve the province and the country as a whole.
