With five days left before the fourth World Internet Conference, attention should be paid to tightening the final nuts and bolts in preparations to ensure the event is a guaranteed success, according to Che Jun, Party chief of Zhejiang province.

The official made the remarks while carrying out an inspection of the preparation work in Wuzhen for the WIC on Nov 28.

Che was shown around the security command center and the Wuzhen International Internet Exhibition & Conference Center (WIIEC) to check all was going smoothly.

"We should treat Wuzhen as our own home to ensure the best environment and good order and to promote the town's image across the globe," he said.

After being briefed about its progress, Che noted that improvements had been made in organization, service and equipment for this year's event and reaffirmed, "we cannot slacken our efforts in the slightest".

Che also urged departments to find if there are any weaknesses or loopholes in the final preparations.
