More than 110 students from abroad started a tour around Zhejiang promoting their projects to potential investors on Dec 18.

It is an annual event initiated by Zhejiang's organization department, the Department of Science and Technology and the Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University in Zhejiang, aiming to facilitate the matchmaking between projects and local companies.

Chloris Yang, a graduate from Babson College, brought a travel mug able to cool coffee from extremely hot to just right in one minute by applying aerospace materials. A co-founder of Thero LLC Company based in Boston, the United States, Yang participated in the activity for fund raising and product promotion.

"Zhejiang's manufacturing industry enjoys great reputation and I traveled over 20 hours to Hangzhou, hoping to find opportunities for strategic cooperation," she said.

It was introduced that these students, divided into different groups according to their concentrations, would visit a few Zhejiang cities like Ningbo, Taizhou and Jiaxing in the four days for detailed discussions.

The Zhejiang tour for overseas students has been held for nine consecutive years and an accumulated 1,000 high-end teams have been invited. Among them, approximately 300 students choose Zhejiang to further develop and realize their innovative ideas. The investments flowing to the settled projects have surpassed 5 billion yuan ($76.02 million).
