A total of 35 enterprises from Zhejiang province showcased their latest technologies and products at the Exposition on China Indigenous Brand in Shanghai from May 10 to 12.

The Zhejiang delegation, made up of 30 renowned homegrown companies and five innovative ones with great development potential, included the e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, Hikvision Digital Technology, the silk products manufacturer Wensli Group and SUPCON, a leading provider of automation and information technology, products and solutions.

At the expo, Alibaba displayed an intelligent dressing mirror which was able to present a virtualized model after fetching body data with its camera. It enabled people to try on different clothes within a short time.

At Wensli Group's booth, a staff member called Li Yujie introduced the most advanced printing technology in the world and displayed a silk scarf with different patterns on both sides.

"Behind the scarf, there's a management system which combines big data and intelligent manufacturing," Li said, adding that some world-class brands such as Louis Vuitton are keen to cooperate with the group.

During the three-day exposition, Zhejiang also organized four themed activities with a series of interactive games to showcase the province's latest achievements in the information sector, intelligent manufacturing, profound culture and future technologies.

The China Indigenous Brand Exposition was co-hosted by seven national ministries and commissions, and the Shanghai government. It was the first expo of its kind in China and was a key event for China Brand Day which falls on May 10 every year. It was aimed at promoting the status and influence of China's indigenous brands by displaying their achievements.
