Hangzhou, Italy join hands on cultural and creative exchange

The Hangzhou Italy Cultural and Creative Industry Exchange Center was unveiled at the opening ceremony of the 2020 China Craft Week in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Dec 3, local media reported.

The center was jointly established by the Hangzhou cultural and creative industry development center and the Tuscany traditional handicraft alliance.

The center, which was opened to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, will be located at the Tuscany traditional handicraft alliance in Florence, Italy.

This is the second of such cultural exchange centers for Hangzhou. The first was set up in Nottingham, the United Kingdom in May 2018.

The new center will help with the commercialization, design and branding of Hangzhou and Italian cultural and creative products, as well as promote cultural trade between the two sides by opening offline exhibitions and online cross-border e-commerce and facilitating trade in services.
